Former Oxford elementary teacher Caron Hutton, of Davison, passed away on November 5, 2022. She was 79. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation is planned for 2-5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in Caron’s memory.

Caron was born in Detroit, on Sept. 12, 1943, daughter of the late Mary Frances (Archibald) and Charles Albert Hiener. She was the youngest of three children. Caron graduated high school from St. Paul’s in Grosse Pointe. She married Timothy Hutton on Aug. 20, 1966 who preceded her in death on July 23, 2021. Caron continued her education at Western Michigan University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She was always passionate about nurturing and teaching young children and went on to teach elementary school for Oxford Public Schools for 30 years. Well into her retirement, Caron enjoyed sharing stories about the fond memories of her classrooms and students.

Caron is survived by her daughter, Shari Hutton; son, Jim (Laura) Hutton; two granddaughters, Korin and Ryanne Hutton; sister, Mary Ellen Corbett; and many other loving family members and friends.

Although Caron was dedicated to helping many young children over the years, she was never more dedicated than in her role as grandma. Caron will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
