Athletes from 23 schools competed in the 56th Annual Elmer Ball Track and Field Invitational held Saturday at Oxford High School.

The event is named after Oxford’s Hall of Fame Coach Elmer Ball, who led many winning cross country and track/field teams from the 1960s through the 1990s. He passed away in February 2017 at the age of 86.
