Wildcat Swimmer Olin Charnstrom, pictured, took 1st place finish at MHSAA Swimming Championships this past weekend at Calvin University. Charnstrom placed 1st in the 100 backstroke to claim the gold. He also broke the school record with his time of 49.04, which is also an automatic All-American time. Wildcat Liam Pearson took home the bronze taking 3rd place in the state with a score of 400.20. Preston Mueller took 16th place in the state in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.85. Mueller also recorded a 100 butterfly time of 53.77 on Friday which is 2nd in school history. Oxford’s 200 Medley Relay team of Charnstrom, Chris Jasper, Mueller and Jacob Olheiser took 12th in the state with time of 1:38.77.
