Oxford Free Methodist Church resumed gathering this past Sunday for their 10:30 morning worship. The church is following the directives given by the state government, the East Michigan Free Methodist Conference as well as the CDC guidelines which includes social distancing and best practices for safety and the well being of others.
At this time there will not be any Sunday school classes. The congregation is in hopes they will start up again this coming fall.
All hard surfaces will be disinfected by the janitorial team. There is hand sanitizer located throughout the building and face masks are available at the information center.
The nursery will be open and has the basic essentials for nursing mothers. A changing station is also available. The entire room will be cleaned and sanitized before services. There will be sanitized “Church Bags” also at the information center for busy little hands during worship time.
It is asked that face masks be worn and that attendees find a seat in the auditorium every other pew and 6 feet from your neighbor – families may sit closer together. This may mean only 2 families per pew.
The church is located at 790 S. Lapeer Road (M-24). With road reconstruction going on and traffic only going south, feel free to use the church back entrance off Glaspie and Drahner Roads.
