Clarkston Rotary restocks ShelterBox

Clarkston Rotarians Mary Sloan and Jeff Lichty met with Tom Henderson, founder and CEO of ShelterBox, at a Florida workshop this past February.
The Rotary supports the ShelterBox program, providing disaster relief all over the world.
More than 8,000 boxes were sent to Haiti and Chile, as well as flooded regions in Egypt, Peru, and Kenya.
Donations are needed to replenish stocks, made to ShelterBoxUSA, a non-profit group, in care of the Clarkston Rotary Club, PO Box 43, Clarkston, MI 48347.
The green, 40.7-gallon plastic shelter boxes each contains a tent, sleeping bags, blankets, cooking supplies, water containers, purification tablets and other essentials. The gear is adjusted for each disaster ? mosquito nets in tropical environments, thick sleeping bags for cold weather.
