Dear Editor,
I am writing to commend the three Village Council members who took a stand for progress and voted yes on the Village Council Marijuana Ordinance. These members proved the Village tagline of “Small. Done Right.” does not mean “remain still.”
There are many positives to be gained with this ordinance, and I believe that the naysayers will realize that this decision will not impact their day-to-day lives in any meaningful way. In fact, we only have to look south to Lake Orion to see that there is no shortage of new families that want to move to towns with more progressive values.
Finally, after 20 years of being a resident, I can say that forward-thinking is making headway.
