To help ease the frustration that accompanies road work and encourage folks to continue patronizing downtown businesses, the Oxford Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is sponsoring a contest for the M-24 construction project set to begin in 2020.
Students of the Oxford school district are invited to create a construction slogan and marketing image for the project. Slogans should be four words or less and the immage should “not be too busy,” according to the DDA.
The winning designer will receive a $200 VISA gift card. March 1 is the contest deadline and it’s only open to students currently enrolled in Oxford Community Schools.
Entries can be sent to the DDA/village office at 22 W. Burdick St. or emailed to dda@thevillageofoxford.org. Contestants must include their full name, address, email address and phone number. For more information, contact the DDA at dda@thevillageofoxford.org or by calling (248) 770-8587.
