Dale R. Birch passed away on December 30, 2016. He was 63.

Mr. Birch was known by the community as the electrical inspector of Oxford and worked as an electrician for his career but many remember him as much, much more. Some may call him a dad, friend, brother, husband, son, coworker or just someone he ran into. One thing about him is if you ran into him you would never forget it. He had that gift of teaching you something, whether you like it or not. Some call it stubborn, we call it a gift. He loved his family and loved working.

He was caring and always wanted to do anything to help. His joys in life were family, work, Harley’s, and spending time up north.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Birch, of 40 years. Loving father of Mike (Nikki) Birch, April Birch, Lisa (Rob) Mahon, and Laura (Adam) Mountain, Chad (Alecia) Birch. Dale is also survived by his grandchildren Alex, Chelsie, Michaela, Will, Max, Reese, Allison, Macy and Owen, as well as his father Harry (Irene) Birch, sisters Linda Abram and Marcy (Kevin) May, and many other family and friends. Dale was preceded in death by mother Wanda Fuqua (Call), Brother Kenneth Birch and Sister Tracy Birch.

He was born in Detroit to Harry and Wanda on December 31, 1952.

A funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors in Oxford was held Jan. 3.

Interment White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
