DDA town hall meeting eyes village needs, wants

Ortonville- Village business and property owners are invited to a town hall meeting Jan. 25 to discuss the challenges they are facing this year and possible solutions that the Downtown Development Authority can offer.
‘The DDA was created so we can funnel funds into the downtown area, and we might as well have the business people tell us what they want so we can do it,? said DDA Executive Director Molly Lalone. ‘Last year we heard from the business owners that they wanted a new sign, so we got one. We got a facade grant so we could help them do work on their buildings, so what next??
Property owners are invited to meet at 9 a.m., Jan. 25, at the Old Town Hall to discuss with DDA members how building vacancies might be filled. Business owners will meet at 10 a.m. the same day to talk about 2010 events, road closures, and other projects.
The Old Town Hall is located at 486 Mill St.
