Brandon Twp.- Two township homes are on track to be demolished following board action at their June 4 meeting.
The board approved a request by Building Director Tim Palulian to let bids be taken for the demolition of a house at 2330 Ortonville Road, and to allow bids for the demolition of the house at 1717 Woodfield following a show cause hearing later this month in court.
Action on the 2330 Ortonville Road home will have to wait at least 60 days however, after Palulian was notified Tuesday that the home has two mortgages on it and the township must wait for a right of redemption period to pass.
A third home that had been considered for demolition, located at 255 Hurd Road, has a buyer that has agreed to complete the exterior in 30-45 days and complete other tasks that were left unfinished by previous owners.
