Dramedy first show of the year

Clarkston Village Players? production of Sybille Pearson’s ‘Sally and Marsha? opens Friday, Jan. 9.
The heartwarming dramatic comedy is about Sally, played by Maredith Zaviski. She is a young mother who moves from South Dakota to a cramped New York City apartment with her two children and traveling salesman husband.
Desperate for a friend, Sally strikes up a conversation with her next-door neighbor, Marsha, played by Cynthia Haaseth. The character is a cynical, wise-cracking native New Yorker. Often compared to a female version of “The Odd Couple,” the women gradually become friends.
