Powered by a 13-3 second quarter spurt, the Goodrich girls basketball squad made their final regular season home game a good one.
The host Martians defeated LakeVille 56-47 to improve their record to 16-3 overall and 14-1 in the Genesee Area Conference Red Division.
Junior Michelle Elliott tallied double figures in scoring and rebounding, earning 12 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. Senior Jacci Brothers added nine points, while senior Shannon Harbin grabbed eight rebounds.
On Oct. 6, all of Goodrich’s 11 players figured in the scoring column as the host Martians cruised to an 81-23 win against Mt. Morris.
Sophomore Tara Garman led the Martians with 16 points, while sophomore Nykole Pfaff had 15 points and five assists and Harbin added 15 points.
Brothers contributed eight points and six assists, while junior Julie Owen chipped in with six rebounds and six assists and Elliott had seven rebounds.
