Eugene R. Dempsey passed away peacefully on July 8, 2023.

Gene was born on October 4, 1933, to Iva and Clell Dempsey. He grew up in Oxford and he graduated from Oxford High School.
Gene proudly served in The United States Army. He was married to the late Barbara Nank for 64 years and they raised 3 children in Oxford.
Gene retired from General Motors where he worked as an electrician. He was a proud member of the UAW and an avid sportsman.
Gene is survived by his children Gregory (Shelly) of Fostoria, Michael (Mary) of Metamora and his former Son in Law, Michael (Angela) Trembley of Davison, his grandchildren, Matthew, David, Rachel, Heidi and Jennifer, and six great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister Ruth Cooper of Lake Orion and his brother Jack (Patricia) of Brown City. 
Preceded in death by his daughter Linda and her baby son Tyler, his wife Barbara, sister Diana Troia and brother Robert Dempsey.
