The halls throughout Clarkston Community Schools are dark and empty but head into a few classrooms and see a flurry of activity is going on.
Custodians and bus drivers finished their detail cleaning of all the elementary schools last week at Independence Elementary. They spent a week at each school cleaning every corner, every locker and every piece of furniture.
Teachers were back in their classrooms putting bulletin boards up, rearranging furniture and getting ready for their students arrival.
School begins Sept. 7
