Golfers? loss to Bloomfield Hills a ‘solid effort,? coach says

‘The weather was perfect,? according to Coach Gretchen Gabler, as the Lady Cat varsity golfers hit the links against Bloomfield Hills in a Sept. 25 match.
Despite the clear skies and sunshine, Oxford lost the match 184-165.
‘Bloomfield Hills is ranked fifth in the county,? Gabler said. ‘We look forward to playing against quality programs. We fell short this year.?
The team was led by Kenzie Chaisson, who shot a 41.
‘Oxford put forth a solid effort with a great score,? Gabler added. ‘When we play (against) stronger opponents, we play better.?
The girls? next match will be Oct. 1 on the road against the Clarkston Wolves.
The girls will tee off at the Pine Knob Ski resort at 3:15 p.m.
