Grapplers on the march!

Throughout history, conquering heroes have marched in parades designed to honor their deeds and let the crowd share in their glory.
That tradition will continue on Saturday, March 12 as Oxford’s conquering heroes ? the OHS wrestling team ? will come marching down Washington St. (M-24) to celebrate winning the Division I state championship in Battle Creek Feb. 25-26.
Organized by the Oxford Athletic Boosters, the parade will commence at 12 noon near East St. The victorious grapplers will march south on M-24 all the way to Centennial Park, where they will be introduced to the crowd by Coach Brad Keeney.
The Boosters are hoping for a large turnout to honor the young men who have earned the respect of so many throughout the state and represented Oxford with class, distinction and the spirit of good sportsmanship.
