Harry Anthony Julien, age 85, of Lake Lapeer/Hadley, died Tuesday, October 5, 2023. Harry was born July 15, 1938, in Pontiac to Donald and Helen (Arsulawitz) Julien. He graduated from Lake Orion High School, class of 1956, and then attended GMI for two years. Harry married Kathleen “Gayle” Winkler in 1958 at St. Mary’s In the Hills Episcopal Church, Lake Orion. Harry was a senior test engineer for GMC Truck & Bus in Pontiac – he retired in 1998 after 42 years of service. In his spare time Harry was active with the Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed woodworking, camping and fishing. Above all, Harry enjoyed time spent with his family. Harry is survived by his wife, Gayle Julien; four children: Cynthia (Chuck) Kamm of Oxford, Wendy Mai (Cecilia) Julien of West Bloomfield, Scott (Thea) Julien of Kingston and Randall (Marie) Julien of Farmington Hills; eight grandchildren: Trevor, Malorey, Nick, Vincent, Chelsea, William, Emmett and Anna; 20 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Donald Julien of Columbiaville. Harry was preceded in death by his brother, David Julien and his aforementioned parents. Private family services have taken place. Cremation services have been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
