Members of the Oxford Lions Club played Santa Claus to 37 local families in need this holiday season.

They packed boxes with food and household items, and wrapped toys and clothing for a total of 92 individuals – 34 youths, 30 adults and 28 senior citizens.

Helping make this all possible was the $4,920 the club raised from selling copies of the Oxford Leader during its annual Goodfellow newspaper fund-raiser.
