Neighbor for Neighbor’s food pantry recipients shopped and took home free gifts on Dec. 18 at ‘The Christmas Shoppe? in downtown Davisburg.
The room was stocked with new clothing, games, toys, bags stuffed with personal care items, books, bikes, household items, gift cards for gas, and groceries, all donated by local residents, businesses and organizations.
Local students, scout troops, neighborhood groups, churches and civic organizations made items and collected donations throughout the year. Clarkston-based Tree of Dreams donated a truckload of gifts, collected at its annual holiday ball.
‘For many of our recipient families the toys and gifts they receive from Neighbor for Neighbor are the only holiday gifts their families will have. We are so grateful to all our patrons that make it possible,? said Carolyn McKenzie, Neighbor for Neighbor executive director and volunteer.
