Jack Heichel of Oxford passed away on February 23, 2025. He was 89 years old. Jack was born April 29, 1935 in Pontiac, Michigan. After graduating high school. he worked at the Rochester Paper Mill then went to work for General Motors for over 25 years as a toolmaker. Jack was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to work on small engines. He also loved Nascar and was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Mary, his children Ronald and Colleen Heichel, Donald and Dee Heichel and Gayle Heichel Mason; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Jack is also survived by his sister, Janet and Bob Stone, and brother Chuck and Judy Heichel. He is preceded in death by his son John, sister Marilyn Stone and brother Jerry Heichel. Visitation took place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford, on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10 a.m. to noon with a funeral service at noon. Interment was at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Oxford.
