John D. Leitch passed away into the glory of Heaven on February 3 , 2019 – Super Bowl Sunday LIII. Rather fitting.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara J. Leitch, but will be greatly missed by and continued to be loved by his sister , Beverly Brazelton, his children Cheryl (Erik ) Engnell, Jeff Leitch and his grandchildren, Angela, Anders, Arianna and Addison Engnell.

He will be remembered for his quiet but firm faith in God and commitment to Oxford United Methodist Church, his pride in, love for and generosity to his grandchildren, his stubborn Irish ways that made him a strong man and that he was always up for a good holiday meal, a game of cards and conversation about sports.

A memorial service will be held at Oxford United Methodist Church, 21 E. Burdick, Oxford on March 16 at 1 p.m. with gathering at the church beginning at 12:30 p.m.
