Surrounded by family and bathed in the warm glow of Christmas tree lights, Kelly Sue Morrison passed away peacefully at her Oxford Township home on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2018. She was 46,
Born on May 5, 1972, Kelly was the beloved daughter of Bob and Sue Morrison, cherished sister of Craig (Pauline) Morrison, a friend to all and beloved by many.
With the support and determination of her family, Kelly had a full, busy, creative and rewarding life. She graduated from high school, was an attendant at friends weddings and even maintained her own household.
Kelly loved movies, music and the Detroit Tigers. She counted among her many friends a Queen (by whom she was made ‘Dame Lady Kelly’), a Detroit Tiger, musicians, actors, public officials, clergy and had a very close relationship with Santa Claus.
It was Kelly’s influence that led many to pursue careers in medicine and caregiving.
Kelly’s spiritual life and her faith were strong and constant. She believed that God had an important plan for her life. She loved unconditionally, made no judgments, believed in the beauty of everyday life, saw the best in every friend and shared this special gift with everyone who was privileged enough to meet her.
Kelly will be missed by her family, her friends, her wonderful caregivers and her cat Sophie.
The family will hold a celebration of Kelly’s remarkable life at a later date.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Modetz Funeral Homes Silverbell Chapel in Orion Township. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.
