Moving their winning record to two games, Oxford’s lady soccer squad beat Waterford Mott on the road in a 3-2 game on March 27.
With an assist from sophomore Mackenzie Methner, junior Lauren Methner got Oxford on the board first with a goal. Just a few minutes later, junior Alyssa Kessler scored to take Oxford up 2-0.
Mackenzie Methner sealed the deal for the Wildcats with another goal, leaving Oxford 3-0. Though Waterford went on to score two goals before the clock ran out, the ladies held on defensively to put another check in the win column.
Now 2-1-1 overall, the Lady Cats will return after spring break on April 9 when they travel to take on Lake Orion.
