Lady Dragons crush the competition

Both Varsity and JV Girls? Lacrosse teams played and won May 4 against Farmington.
The Varsity girls won their game, 15-7.
Junior Mallory DeMott lead the scoring with four goals. Senior Paige Hammerl had three goals and an assist while Nicole Blovet and Carly Brooks both scored twice. Kaileen Tweedie, Emily Hendrix, Jessica Smude and senior captain defensive standout Ashley Dakki all scored one goal each. Smude added 2 assists while sophomore goalie Beth Giguere saved four Farmington shots.
The JV ladies won their game, 14-2. Sophomore Willow Kreutzer scored three goals and had an assist while Michaela Temple, Nicole Carlini and Melissa Harcourt each scored twice and had an assist. Laura Gonda, Cassie Alexander, Hillary Szydlowski, Kayla Cesarek and Kandiss Gramme scored one goal each, though Gramme also had two assists. Amanda Vaughn saved seven Farmington shots on goal.
Both teams then came away with impressive victories on Monday against Stoney Creek.
The Varsity ladies played a near perfect game, winning 11-5.
Senior Paige Hammerl lead the scoring with five goals while Jessica Smude scored three times and added an assist. Nicole Blovet and Carly Brooks each had a goal and an assist. Senior captain Ronnie Booth tallied one goal and Tiffany Smrtnik lead the Dragon defense by stopping 7 Stoney Creek shots on goal.
The JV Dragons won their’s 14-1.
Leading the scoring was Nicole Carlini, Michaela Temple and Melissa Harcourt who each scored three goals. Carlinio and Temple also had an assist. Kandiss Gramme and Willow Kreutzer both scored two goals, while Hillary Szydlowski had one goal. Heather Raymor rounded out the offensive with two assists while Mary Gorsick had one assist. Sophomore goalie Amanda Vaughn saved 11 Cougar shots on the night.
The Lady Dragon ‘Lacrossers? would play on Wednesday against North Farmington – Harrison, and again on Thursday against Waterford United.
Both teams are now 6-4 for the 2011 season.
