Oxford’s varsity football team is still hunting for its second victory of the season after falling to West Bloomfield 57-27 on Sept. 28.
The first half was a shoot-out that left the Cats trailing 37-27. Senior Quarterback Parker Fleming hooked up with senior Zak Schwerin on a 26-yard pass to score the Cats first touchdown of the game.
Oxford’s ground game racked up 254 yards. Senior Devon Hudson was responsible for 123 yards to go with the two touchdowns he scored. Sophomore Drew Carpenter chipped in 46 yards, 13 touches and a touchdown.
The Cats are now 1-5 overall and 1-4 in the OAA Red Division.
Oxford will host rival Lake Orion this Friday at 7 p.m.
