Contribute Without Cash

For the second year in a row Love (INC) In The Name of Christ is asking area residents to help their organization by giving their opinions. The Contribute Without Cash program asks people to go online and answer questions about national products, for each question answered Love INC receives money.

The online survey is administered by HundredX.

“We were introduced to HundredX through a former board member Lynn Gromaski, Executive Director of North Oakland Transportation Authority. The campaign is a unique way to support Love INC by sharing your opinions on the brands and businesses you frequent. Last year our supporters donated, without spending, nearly $7,000 to help their neighbors in need, simply by using their cellphones and sharing valuable feedback for good,” said Love INC Executive Director Patricia Schapira. “This year our goal is to reach twice the amount of people so that we can increase our impact and help those who want to break the chain of generational poverty through our transformational ministry.”

The campaign started on Monday and runs for 30 days.

“While we always appreciate monetary donations from our community, your opinions about products and services you use every day can help you give back to your local community without spending,” she said.

Love INC is a non-profit cooperative effort which links churches, volunteers, and service agencies and helps them to organize their efforts by reaching out to the poor and disadvantaged. The organization receives an average of 22 calls a week from people in need, she said, adding last year they assisted 328 individuals. All those people are helped by the volunteers, plus a staff of two full-time and two part-time staff members.
