Lyle Lloyd Ellis, of Oxford, passed away October 15, 2017 in the comforts of his home and with his family at his side. He was 80.

Lyle was born January 13, 1937 in Lake Orion, MI. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruthann “Judy” Ellis; his children Marilou (Jeffrey) Howe, Marty Ellis, Ken Ellis, Rich (Lisa) Ellis, and Tom (Amber) Ellis; ten grandchildren Trish, Mike, Matt, Megan, Nicole, Britni, Emily, Katelyn, Laura, and Destiny; nine great-grandchildren Markus, Sophia, Skylar, Ryder, Saveta, Deegan, Alana, Christopher, and Henry.

Lyle is preceded in death by his parents Sabinas Kenneth Ellis and Goldie Veronica Ellis, nee. Sirdan; his daughter Elizabeth Ann Ellis, and granddaughter Saveta Lee Ann Ellis.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Oxford Free Methodist Church, 790 S Lapeer Rd. Pastor Michael Alexander will be officiating. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 5-8 p.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home in Oxford. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are greatly appreciated.
