Man charged in home invasions

A 23-year-old Brandon Township man has been arraigned on charges related to several local home invasions that occurred during the past two years.
Kirk Allen Baker, Jr. was arraigned Feb. 8 on a count of home invasion, second degree, two misdemeanor counts of receiving and concealing stolen property under $200, and a felony count of receiving and concealing stolen property more than $1,000, less than $20,000, in front of 52-2 District Court Judge Dana Fortinberry.
According to police reports, the charges stem from several incidents, including a home invasion Dec. 19 in the 1400 block of S. Hadley Road, one on Jan. 16 in the 2800 block of Pioneer Lane; another from March 2, 2006 in the 5400 block of Sherwood Road, and one dating back to Feb. 3 in the 7100 block of Oakhill Road.
Baker has also been arraigned on a home invasion that occurred Jan. 4 in Groveland Township and another from Dec. 29 in Waterford. He is being held in the Oakland County Jail without bond.
