Marilyn Rae Solwold – mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend – departed this life on Saturday April 21, 2018. She was 72.

Marilyn was born November 13, 1945 in Pontiac.

She was the middle child of the late Gwendolyn and Wilford Scott.

She was preceded in death by her sons Randy and Tony Encardo as well as her sister Sharon Carpenter.

She was a loving mother to Robert and Michael (Shawna) Solwold. Cherished grandmother of Bobby (Amanda) Solwold. Great-grandmother to Ella and Sophia Solwold.

She will be missed by her sisters Evelyn Bailey and Colleen Rice as well as her very dear friend of 54 years, Sharon Trammel.

Marilyn was retired from GM Truck and Bus after 30 years of service and was an avid member of local 594.

Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford, on Friday, April 27 at 11 a.m.with visitation beginning at the funeral home at 10 AM.

Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, April 26 from 3-8 p.m.

Interment Crescent Hills Cemetery in Waterford.
