Milton Arthur Francis, a lifelong resident of Oxford, passed away May 3, 2018. He was 90.
He was born in Oxford on April 23, 1928, to the late Donald Francis and Bernice Groover. Milton loyally served his country in the United States Army post WWII. He graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Forestry. Milton was an avid golfer and he enjoyed trips to the casino.
Milton is survived by his two sons Kirk (Sheila) Francis and Brian (Nora) Francis; daughter Sheri (Tim) McDowell; six grandchildren Mike and Dallas Madison, Cayla and Jasper McDowell, and David and Elizabeth Francis; great-granddaughter Mikayla Madison; brother Robert (Ellen) Francis; sisters Donna (Lowell) Prescott, Ro (Bill) VanWagoner, and Gerry Wilfong; sister-in-law Jean Francis.
Milton was preceded in death by his wife Rosalea on August 6, 2014 after 60 years of marriage. Also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service with military honors was held May 8 at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors in Oxford. Chaplain Barry J. Ruff officiated. Memorial donations to Heart to Heart Hospice Foundation are appreciated.
