Spring cleaning in Addison
The annual Spring Clean-up in Addison Township is Saturday, May 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The township will provide dumpsters in the parking lot of the township hall, 1440 Rochester Road. Township officials said residents should remain in their vehicles “as the contractors will unload items from your vehicle into the dumpsters.”
They will also provide shredding service for paper documents from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents should bring a valid driver’s license to show proof of residency. According to the township, they will accept car and truck tires only if they are off the rims (four per household). Not accepted are items from commercial contractors, compost material (smaller than six inches in diameter), paint, oil, gasoline or other toxins and all Freon units unless tagged, then there will be a $90 fee.
