Operation Care Package Michigan is coming to Goodrich.
‘It’s a non-profit group that collects non-perishable items to put together care packages and send them to service people overseas,? said Shirley Kautman-Jones, Atlas Township supervisor, who has been working with the care package program to open a drop box to be located in the lobby of the Atlas Township offices, 7386 Gale Road, Goodrich.
Donations from bar soaps to individually wrapped snacks are accepted, and a full list of wanted items are included on the program’s website. Monetary donations, which are tax deductible, are also accepted.
