Ortonville Village council seeks new member

Ortonville- Help wanted.
The village council is looking to fill a seat on the council after Liz Waters resigned last month to accept an open seat on the Brandon Township Board.
A village resident will be appointed to serve on the council until next November, when an election will determine who completes the 2-year partial term, as well as three 4-year terms and a 2-year term for council president.
Besides being a resident of the village, candidates for appointment to the council must also be at least 18 years of age and should submit a letter of interest to the council which includes background information. E-mail letters to
villagemanager@ortonvillevillage.com, send them to Village of Ortonville, P.O. Box 928, Ortonville, MI 48462 or drop them off at the village office, 476 Mill St. Letters of interest should be received by Dec. 10 and the village council will conduct interviews at their Dec. 14 meeting.
