To kick off National Fire Prevention Week, the Oxford Fire Department will host its annual open house on Sunday, Oct. 7 from noon to 4 p.m.
It will be held at Fire Station #1, located at 96 N. Washington St.
Activities will include a smoke house, exploring the fire trucks and ambulances, meeting firefighters, spraying a fire hose, face-painting, CPR instruction, an extrication and drone demonstrations and a visit from a medical helicopter at 1:30 p.m.
Refreshments, including hot dogs and cookies, will be served.
