Former Oxford Leader contributor Iris Underwood is sponsoring her 6th annual “Yule Love It Lavender Farm Poetry” contest.
First place is worth $150; 2nd, $100; and 3rd place is worth $75.
The contest is open to adults (one per person) and can be of any form, but contain no profanity or “references to substances.”
The theme is “the color of summer.” There is a 30-line limit. Poems should be typed in 12 point, New Times Roman and are due by May 14. Do not put your name on the poem; put it on an index card with name and contact information.
