Jan. 2: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called by a 37-year-old man at 11:58 p.m. living on the 90 block of Brabb Rd. who said his 36-year-old wife was allegedly plotting to kill him. When Sheriff’s deputies spoke with his wife, she told them her husband had allegedly not been taking his medication and that he had been acting strange for the past few days. The man then told Sheriff’s deputies that he had been having suicidal thoughts and wanted medical treatment. The man was voluntarily transported to Crittenton Hospital in Oxford for treatment.
Dec. 28: A 50-year-old woman was found dead in her bedroom by her 31-year-old son at their shared home at 2:04 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies were called to their home on the 100 block of Laurel Leah. Sheriff’s deputies noted that no signs of foul play were found and that natural causes were suspected in her death.
Dec. 28: A woman living on the 60 block of Powell Rd. called Oxford Village police at 12:32 p.m. to report a suspected breaking and entering, stating that plumbing had been taken from her bathroom sink. When police arrived, they found pipes to be missing and water pooling on the floor, according to the report.
Dec. 27: A 42-year-old manager at a business located on the 900 block of Lapeer Rd. called Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies to report a suspected breaking and entering. According to the manager, the business had been closed and locked up Dec. 24 at 2:30 p.m. and was not re-opened until that day at 8 a.m. After re-opening, the manager told Sheriff’s deputies she realized one of the registers was missing $150 when she went to prep the register for that day’s sales. The manager told Sheriff’s deputies she suspected it may have been taken by a former employee, but was unsure. Sheriff’s deputies advised the manager to change the locks and are currently investigating the incident.
