Oxford Police Chief Micheal Solwold has released his November report, detailing how many times the department was called, how many citations or warnings were issued and how many accidents were reported, as compared to last year.
According to his report, “calls for service” to the department declined in November when compared to 2021. Last year in November the department was called 647 times, this year 582. Conversely, the department gave out more citations or warnings and accidents this November compared to November 2021. This year, his report shows, the department issued 386 citations/warnings; last year 350. There were 10 accidents reported in the village this November as compared to eight in 2021.
Solwold’s report also tallied year-to-date comparisons.
Up through November, this year the department was called 7,685 times, up 415 from 2021. In that same time period, the department this year issued 57 less citations/warnings than in 2021 (4,383 this year). Accidents were up in the village, too. This year, through November there were 83 accidents reported; last year 56.
