Police investigate similar robberies of local businesses

For the second time in two weeks thieves broke into an Oxford Village business taking cash and nothing else.
According to Oxford Village Police Chief Mike Neymanowski, two weeks ago someone pried open the back door of Little Caesars Pizza on West Burdick St. taking only cash from the store.
A similar break-in occurred at T-Nails in the Oxford Marketplace late Sunday night. ‘There seems to be a similar pattern to these break-ins,? said Neymanowski.
In both cases, the suspects gained access to the stores during late night hours by prying open the back door. Cash was the only thing stolen from both stores.
‘This is a quick (grab) cash and (get) out type of thing,? Neymanowski said. He suggested that all store owners should keep any cash needed for morning business locked and hidden somewhere other than in the storefront area.
Both cases plus a similar Oxford Township business break-in are being investigated by village police.
Chief Neymanowski asked that if anyone notices suspicious activity around downtown buildings or village businesses they report it immediately to police at (248) 628-2581.
