Prosecutor reviewing results of OMS fight investigation

Oakland County Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Patterson, commander of the Oxford Township substation, said investigators conducted more than a dozen interviews last week related to the May 4 viral video of an altercation that occurred at Oxford Middle School between a black female student and a white male student.
The incident included verbal threats, foul language and racial slurs.
The substation was contacted after the girl’s mother, who lives outside of Oxford, filed a complaint with another sheriff’s office.
‘Everything has been sent to the prosecutor’s office for review,? Patterson said. ‘Now, we just have to wait for a decision from them on what they want to do, if anything, They’re going to want to make sure they look at everything with a fine-tooth comb.?
Patterson is hoping to hear back from the prosecutor’s office sometime this week.
