NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that, under the provisions of §17.8 and §16.9 of Oxford Township Zoning Ordinance 67A, the Oxford Township
Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a PUBLIC HEARING at the Oxford Township Office at 300 Dunlap Rd, Oxford, MI 48371.

Variance Description
A) Petitioner is requesting the ZBA amend a previously adopted
motion to provide clarification regarding a motion passed on
10/9/2017 approving a variance from the standards set forth in
Article 9.8 (J) of Zoning Ordinance 67A – Wall Signs in Non-
Residential Districts. The original motion states in part: ”a total
signage of the building of 3,698 square feet…will be permittable.”
The Petitioner requests the ZBA to confirm whether its previous
approval was intended to approve the square footage as depicted
in the plans submitted by the Petitioner on 9/21/2022.
B) Petitioner is also requesting to change conditions of the previous
variance approved by the ZBA on 10/9/2017 to allow Township
staff authority to approve a change in location of signs rather than
requiring approval by the Planning Commission.

hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm weekdays, excluding holidays).

public hearing.
The Charter Township of Oxford will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and
audiotapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting/hearing. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services shall

SYNOPSIS
Of the Regular Meeting of the Charter Township of Oxford Board of Trustees held on September 14, 2022 at
the Oxford Township Hall Meeting Room.
PRESENT: Supervisor Curtis, Clerk Wright, Treasurer Ferrari, Trustee Charles, Trustee Colvin, Trustee Nold,
Trustee Payne
ABSENT: None
The following actions were taken:
Approved the Agenda as presented.
Approved the Consent Agenda as presented.
Approved to rescind the August 24, 2022 motion for Brabb-Dewey Subdivision Sanitary Sewer Engineering
Design Fees.
Approved an amount of $125,750.00 and authorize Sharpe Engineering to proceed with Engineering Design
Fee for Brabb-Dewey Subdivision.
Approved to allocate $100,000.00 of American Rescue Plan Act funds to the Oxford Township Parks and
Recreation for the proposed construction of a Farmers Market.
Due to no recommendation from the Safety Path Committee and failure to receive the minimum required bids
per the Charter Township of Oxford Procurement Policy, any bids received for Safety Path Maintenance are
hereby rejected.
Approved to amend the approved Township Investment Policy and Township Depositories Resolution,
effective September 15, 2022.
Approved to award the East Drahner Road Water Main project to Superior Excavating, Inc. in the base bid
amount of $702,689.00.
Approved that effective January 1, 2023 the Sanitary Sewer Connection Fee will increase to $6,000.00.
Approved the purchase of four Microsoft Surface Pro tablets, four Cover Keyboards and one-24-inch desktop
monitor in the amount of $6,955.00.
Approved the Canvass of Votes for the August 2, 2022 Primary Election for the Charter Township of Oxford as
presented.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:23 p.m.

Test for the November 8, 2022 General Election has been
scheduled for September 30, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. at the
Oxford Township Office, located at 300 Dunlap Road,
Oxford, Michigan 48371.
The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to demonstrate that
the computer program used to record and count the votes
cast at the election meets the requirements of law.

The Charter Township of Oxford is seeking bids for safety path maintenance. Complete
Bid Documents are available at the Oxford Township Office.
Bids are to be returned in a sealed envelope and addressed as follows:

The Charter Township of Oxford reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in
whole or in part, and to waive any informalities therein when such waiver is in the
interest of the Charter Township of Oxford, and to award the contract to other than the
low bidder.
Bids shall remain firm for a period of ninety (90) days.
