SYNOPSIS

Of the Regular Meeting of the Charter Township of Oxford Board of Trustees held on April 12, 2023 at the
Oxford Township Hall Meeting Room.
PRESENT: Supervisor Curtis, Clerk Wright, Treasurer Ferrari, Trustee Charles, Trustee Colvin, Trustee Nold,
Trustee Payne
ABSENT: None
The following actions were taken:
Approved the Agenda as presented.
Approved the Consent Agenda as presented.
Open Public Hearing at 6:32 p.m. to discuss the establishment of the Paint Lake Special Assessment District.
Closed Public Hearing at 6:33 p.m. to discuss the establishment of the Paint Lake Special Assessment District.
Approved to direct the Waste Disposal Committee consider a Request for Proposal for Solid Waste, Recycling
and Yard Waste Collection, Transportation and Disposal Services, which specifies that all Township
employees, contractors and representatives strictly adhere to the Oxford Township Procurement Policy in a
manner consistent with fairness and transparency to all interested parties, and to avoid at all times even the
appearance of impropriety.
Opened Public Hearing at 6:40 p.m. to consider contracting with one company to provide waste disposal
services to the Charter Township of Oxford.
Closed Public Hearing at 8:49 p.m. to consider contracting with one company to provide waste disposal
services to the Charter Township of Oxford.
Approved to rescind the motion approved at the March 8, 2023 Oxford Township Board of Trustees meeting to
award the Oxford Fire Station #3 Fire Protection Well bid to Ed Birkmeier Well Drilling at a base bid price of
$41,794.00 and now award the Oxford Fire Station #3 Fire Protection Well bid to C.E. Layman for an amount
not to exceed $48,000.00.
Approved Resolution #2 to establish the Paint Lake Canal Special Assessment District as presented.
Approved the Oakland County 2023 Gravel Road Program Cost Participation Agreement.
Approved the Carlisle/Wortman Associates Agreement for Consulting Services.
Approved the Ordinance Review Committee Request for Funding not to exceed $13,680.00 payable to
Carlisle/Wortman Associates, Inc.
Approved the Resolution to request the Michigan Department of Transportation to conduct a speed study on
Lapeer Road (M-24) from Ray Road in Oxford Township to Harriet Street.
Approved to waive its resolution to solicit bids and award the Senior Services Contract for 2022 Community
Development Block Grant Funds in the amount of $5,352.00 to Rochester Older Person Commission.
Approved the 2023 West Nile Virus Prevention Program at a total project expenditure of $3,947.60.
Approved to adopt the Resolution Authorizing the West Nile Virus Fund Expense Reimbursement Request as
presented.
