To the qualified electors of the Charter Township of Oxford, County of Oakland, State of Michigan.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF OXFORD CLERK’S OFFICE, 300 DUNLAP ROAD, OXFORD, MI 48371 WILL BE OPEN:
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2016
FROM 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
LAST DAY TO REGISTER
FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING APPLICATIONS FOR THE REGISTRATION OF THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS IN OXFORD TOWNSHIP NOT ALREADY REGISTERED.
IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY REGISTERED TO VOTE OR NEED TO REGISTER AT A NEW ADDRESS, YOU MAY DO SO AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS AND TIMES:
In Person:
• County Elections Division, 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac, MI 48341, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
• Secretary of State Branch Offices.
• At specified agencies for clients receiving services through Family Independence Agency, the Department of Community Health, Michigan Jobs Commission and some offices of the Commission for the Blind.
• At military recruitment offices for persons who are enlisting.
By Mail:
• Voter Registration Application – Mail to the election official as directed on the application by the close of registration deadline.
Note:
Persons registering by mail are required to vote in person unless they have previously voted in person in the state or are at least 60 years of age or are handicapped.

REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY OF SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN
A Proposal Authorizing the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan (RTA) to Levy an Assessment.
CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF OXFORD PROPOSAL:
BOND PROPOSAL FOR OXFORD TOWNSHIP PARKS
AND VILLAGE OF OXFORD PROPOSALS:
PROPOSAL 1:
Amendment to add new sec. 3.19i. to the Charter of the Village of Oxford to provide that all public records of the Village of Oxford shall be available to the public under the Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 to 15.246.
PROPOSAL 2: Amendment to add new section 5.11 to the Charter of the Village of Oxford to provide for the annual review of the Village Clerk by the Village Council.
PROPOSAL 3: Amendment to Sec. 3.3 of the Charter of the Village of Oxford to provide for certain eligibility requirements to hold elective office in the village.
PROPOSAL 4:
Amendment to Sec. 5.2. of the Charter of the Village of Oxford to add paragraph #8 to Sec. 5.2. of the Charter of the Village of Oxford to provide for annual review of Village Manager by the Village Council.
PROPOSAL 5:
Amendment to Sec. 4.1. of the Charter of the Village of Oxford to provide the Village Council with the power to adopt, continue, amend, or repeal village ordinances.
PROPOSAL 6: Amendment to Sec. 3.10. of the Charter of the Village of Oxford to provide for prohibited interests in village business.
PROPOSAL 7:
Shall the Village of Oxford’s Council be granted the authority and approval from the Village of Oxford voters to sell the Village of Oxford’s interest in real property.
AND OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS PROPOSALS:
OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS – I. OPERATING MILLAGE RENEWAL
This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance and renews millage that will expire with the 2016 tax levy.
OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS – II. OPERATING MILLAGE RESTORATION
This proposal will allow the school district to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance.
