Board Meeting Synopsis
The Addison Township Board; its elected members are Supervisor Pearson, Clerk Bennett, Treasurer Fisher, Trustee Brakefield, Trustee Gierak, Trustee Geibel, and Trustee Newby held a regular meeting at the Township Office on October 18, 2021. The Township Offices are located at 1440 Rochester Rd., Leonard MI 48367. The following action was taken:
Approved agenda.
Approved the Consent Agenda consisting of the September 20, 2021 minutes, bills as paid for September 2021, Stephany Boegner and Bill Carroll Park Rangers, 3-year term.
Approval to purchase Columbarium’s for cemetery with the purchase of 6 benches and the increase for logistics.
Determined planters for landscaping and authorized the Supervisor to review final site plan for cemetery Columbarium’s with the option for Board to review.
Authorized Fire Department purchase of technical rescue equipment from AHS Rescue and Waived purchasing ordinance and Approved purchase of 2 Bullard Thermal Imaging Cameras.
Agreed to create surveys for single waste hauler and internet service with review in November.
Authorized up to 50% reimbursement for Seniors’ participation at OPC, up to $8,000.
Reviewed and accepted STG gold package, annual service and drone photography for Township Website.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
The Public Hearing is for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding year 2022. The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of CDBG funds, and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from low to moderate income persons. The Township will consider any public comments on this matter at this time. The hearing is open to the public to voice their views or you may submit your comments in writing prior to the hearing. Please address those comments to the Clerk of the Township at the address above.
Approximately $9,887.00 may be available to the Township to fund eligible projects that principally benefit low to moderate income persons. Please contact the Supervisor’s office if you have further questions or concerns on CDBG funding for the 2022 program year.
