Feb 25: Oxford Village Police received a call at 12:06 p.m. from a concerned Oxford resident, who reported that a man wearing an orange jacket was allegedly making lewd gestures and pulling markers out of the ground. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
Feb. 24: An 18-year-old Rochester man called Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies at 9:55 p.m., to report damage to his car while it had been parked at Oxford High School during a basketball game. The man found the passenger side mirror to be missing and the rear windshield wiper to be hanging off the vehicle. The mirror was later found across the parking lot in the grass. Sheriff’s deputies observed the mirror to be ripped clean off with the glass shattered. A report was written.
Feb. 24: An Oakland County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol came across a two-car accident at 2:43 p.m., which occurred at the corner of S. Lapeer Rd. and W. Drahner Rd. One of the involved drivers, a 20-year-old resident of Lake Orion, was discovered to have a warrant, issued out of Mecosta County, for his arrest. The man was transported to the Oakland County Jail without incident.
Feb. 24: An employee of a store located in the 900 block of N. Lapeer Rd., called Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies to report an incident of theft. The employee told Sheriff’s deputies they had allegedly witnessed a 33-year-old woman from Dryden conceal approximately $30 worth of socks and $20 worth of keychain flashlights. The woman had allegedly been apprehended for retail fraud at the same store before. The woman was issued two citations, one for third degree retail fraud and one for trespassing.
Feb 20: A woman called Oxford Village Police at 3:33 p.m., stating that she had been approached by a man who lifted up his shirt in front of her two young children. The man was described as a white male who was wearing jeans, a black t-shirt, black headband, and purple nail polish. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
