March 26: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a home located in the 100 block of Breezewood Rd. at 12:56 a.m., where Sheriff’s deputies reported hearing two men fighting and a window break. A 19-year-old man opened the door for Sheriff’s deputies with his 48-year-old boyfriend, a Ferndale resident, standing behind him. Sheriff’s deputies noted on the report that they observed swelling on the 19-year-old’s head and had observed his nose to be swollen and bleeding. Allegedly the two had been arguing when the 19-year-old tried to leave. The man from Ferndale had allegedly grabbed the 19-year-old and punched him repeatedly to keep him from leaving. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the incident. Both parties refused medical treatment. The Ferndale resident was found by Sheriff’s deputies to have two outstanding warrants and was arrested and transported to Oakland County Jail.
March 23: A 26-year-old Pontiac man was stopped by Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies for allegedly driving above the posted speed limit at 12:24 a.m. The man told Sheriff’s deputies he was driving on a suspended license. The man was ordered to step out of the vehicle and placed under arrest while Sheriff’s deputies searched his vehicle, where they allegedly located a glass jar with 20 grams of a substance suspected to be marijuana inside, along with an opened bottle of vodka. The vehicle was impounded and the man was issued a citation for no insurance, driving with license suspended, possession of marijuana, and open intoxicants.
March 22: A man parked in the 50 block of Dennison St. called Village Police at 2:19 p.m. to report several items had been stolen from his vehicle. The man reported that nearly $400 in cash was found to be missing, along with medication and his wedding ring. A report was filed.
March 21: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home, located in the 700 block of Sebek Rd. at 9:24 a.m. where a 68-year-old resident said an unknown person had allegedly damaged her mailbox. Sheriff’s deputies observed the red flag on the mailbox had been broken off. Sheriff’s deputies also found one of the neighboring homes to have a mailbox with the same damage. The incidents are believed to have occurred between midnight and 6 a.m. of that morning. A report was filed.
