May 6: A 37-year-old man from Oxford called Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies to his home in the 2000 block of Trinity Ct. at 9:39 a.m. to report that his wife had found a street sign and mailbox underneath one of the pine trees in their yard. While deputies were speaking with the man, a neighbor approached them and reported that her mailbox had been damaged. The woman told deputies that she was unsure when the incident had taken place but that she had found the flag broken off, along with one of her packages opened with the contents missing. Deptuties observed the signs under the pine tree to be bent with the pole straight. A report was filed.
May 3: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called at 6:37 p.m. to a home in the 100 block of Scarlet Oak Lane, where several young boys had allegedly gotten into a physical fight. The parents of two of the boys, ages 6 and 8, told deputies they had seen one of the neighbor boys, 7-years-old, kicking and scratching their sons. The 6- and 8-year-old boys told deputies that the 7-year-old had allegedly started the incident by calling them names before he scratched them. Upon interviewing the 7-year-old, the boy told deputies that he had scratched the two boys when they had allegedly started to call him names. The boys were advised to find an adult in the future before turning to physical fights.
May 1: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 100 block of Crimson Ct. at 1:58 p.m., where a 37-year-old woman from Clarkston was visiting her father after her 36-year-old husband, of Clarkston, had allegedly become enraged upon seeing her at a park in Auburn Hills with another man. According to the woman, when her husband showed up at the park, she attempted to drive away with the other man as a passenger. In response to this, the woman told deputies that her husband began following them in his car and eventually pulled his vehicle in front of hers to block them from leaving. As she attempted to pull away, the woman said her husband had allegedly jumped on the hood of her car and punched the windshield cracking it. Following this, she told deputies, her husband attempted to pull the man out of her car. The man allegedly responded by running away on foot. The wife also told deputies that her husband had allegedly threatened to shoot her and shoot himself. The husband allegedly told deputies that he wasn’t sure what he had said but that he had been very angry. Deputies did not observe any physical marks on either party and both said they wanted to talk things out.
