July 24: A 30-year-old Oxford woman called Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies to her home, located in the 100 block of Maynard Circle, at 1:15 p.m. to report a home invasion. The woman told deputies she believed her ex-boyfriend, a 30-year-old Oxford man, was responsible. He had allegedly sent her several threatening text messages while she had been out taking a walk. According to the woman, the man sent her one message that read “your not home” at 12:56 p.m. and another that read “your car might not work.” Upon returning home, the woman told deputies she found her front door was unlocked, despite securing it before she had left. The only thing that appeared to be missing was $25 in cash, which had been left on a counter.
July 19: An employee of Crossroads for Youth, located in the 900 block of E. Drahner Rd., called Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies at 11:38 a.m., after they noticed the front lawn had been damaged. According to the police report, it appeared as though a vehicle had driven onto the front lawn, leaving deep tire tracks.
July 16: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at 7:24 p.m. on a vehicle traveling north on Lapeer Rd., near Minnetonka Rd, after it was observed to be allegedly speeding and driving to the left of the double-yellow line. The driver was a 29-year-old man from Pontiac who had his 6-year-old son sleeping in the backseat without a seatbelt on, according to the sheriff’s report. The man allegedly admitted he had been drinking and, according to the report, failed several sobriety tests administered at the scene. The man was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment. He was transported to Oakland County Jail without incident.
