Village police carry out warrant arrest
On the evening of Jan. 7, Oxford Village police officers traveled to Lapeer to pick up a 51-year-old Lapeer man with three standing misdemeanor warrants originating in Oakland County. The man was serving time at the Lapeer County Jail at the time. Officers arraigned and transported the man to the 52-3 District Court in Rochester for lodging, and he was later taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Deputies make arrest in Detroit
Wayne Country Sheriff’s deputies contacted Oakland County deputies on the morning of Jan. 13 and officers from the Oxford substation responded. Deputies arrested a 40-year-old Detroit man with two warrants out: one for child neglect and the other for failing to pay child support. Both warrants originated in Oakland County. The man was given a $4,000 bond with no support and taken to the Oakland County Jail without incident.
