Runners and walkers braved cloudy skies for the sixth Annual Chuck Keegan ‘Race for the Kids,? May 3.
Proceeds from the 5K race provide scholarships to Clarkston students, and honors the late Chuck Keegan, Clarkston Junior High teacher and track coach.
“Chuck had an unbridled passion for his profession, his friends, and his family; his legacy lives on in all of us,” said organizer Mike Greve.

“Amy Ankrom, Jim Berman, Ray Cooper, Denise Hill, Claudia Keglovitz, John Merz, Susan Powers, Michele Przybylski, Bill Rathburg, Debbie Sabo, Alex Sennabaum, Debbie Shotwell, Jim Tedder, and Janet Thomas were instrumental in planning and staffing this event. Several Clarkston Junior High students also volunteered their time,” he said. “Lastly, thanks to the Keegan family for their continuing support of both our students and this event.”
