Independence Township Senior Community Center members and friends celebrated the grand opening of the new 2,400-square-foot expansion with a ribbon cutting, Aug. 12. Fund raising for the $300,000 project took three years. Groundbreaking was last April, and the expansion was open in time for the Fourth of July festival in Clintonwood Park.
